A phenomenally busy 2019, with greater than anticipated business growth, plus a house move are going to be the excuses I’m using to make up for a lack of update!

At the beginning of 2019 I was approached by Albion Saddlemakers, to look after two of their Sponsored Riders yards; Paul and Bobby Hayler, and Hannah Esberger. I felt unbelievably honoured to take on this role as have long admired all three of these riders. As a teenager competing at the British Dressage Winter National Championships, I have memories of warming up alongside Hannah Esberger, thinking how beautifully she rode. In more recent years I have been inspired by an evening masterclass with Paul and Bobby Hayler at the British Dressage Championships at Hartpury, watching Bobby in the lights with her then partner Rubin. I have long admired Albion’s Cofounder and Managing Director, Sherry Belton for her meticulous attention to detail, depth of saddle fitting knowledge and horsemanship, so it feels a true privilege to be working with such company.

Paul and Bobby of Team Hayler International are based near Yarm, Stockton-on-Tees and are well recognised International Grand Prix Dressage Riders. Paul was appointed Training Director for British Dressage in 2014 and is a List One Judge. Paul has trained with The Spanish Riding School of Vienna and Klaus Martin Rath in Germany amongst others. Bobby has competed on Pony, Junior & Young Rider European Teams and competes at Grand Prix level. Team Hayler International hold regular training camps for their clients which include training, demonstrations (with a G&T Saddles talk!) and fitness sessions which Bobby is particularly passionate about.

Hannah Esberger runs a beautiful yard at Todwick, near Sheffield. Hannah holds 7 national Championship titles, 22 Regional Championship titles, past National Young Rider Champion along with Junior and Pony Champion titles. Hannah regularly makes the trip to Carl Hester’s Gloucestershire base to train with him. Hannah is a British Dressage Registered Coach, training clients from her international size arena at her base, and also travelling to hold regular clinics.

It has been a true pleasure working with these riders and their clients alongside and on behalf of Albion for the past year. Thank you for the opportunity and looking forward to continuing this relationship.
